Abstract

In determining the purchasing power parity of a country, there are several variables that are considered to have an influence on purchasing power parity measured using the inflation ratio between Indonesia and the United States of America. The purpose of this study was to find out the significance of the influence of the indpendent variables namely the IDR/USD exchange rate, foreign exchange fluctuation and foreign exchange reserves toward the dependent variable which is the purchasing power parity of Indonesia in the period of 2015-2019.
This research uses quantitative research methods with data analysis methods of multiple linear regression. This study uses the saturated sampling technique in which all populations are used as samples, namely the data of independent variable and the dependent variable in the 2015-2019 period.
The results of this study are the exchange rate of IDR/USD, foreign exchange fluctuation and foreign exchange reserves simultaneously have a significant influence toward purchasing power parity measured using the inflation rate between Indonesia and the United States of America while separately stated that the exchange rate of IDR/USD has no significant influence to purchasing power parity measured using the inflation rate between Indonesia and the United States of America, while foreign exchange fluctuation and foreign exchange reserves do not have a significant influence toward purchasing power parity measured using the inflation rates between Indonesia and the United States of America.
