Abstract

The recovery process of post natal mother is very important after laboring mother. Because during the pregnancy and postpartum time, there has been changed physically and physics. To keep healthy and be recovery, so it’s suggested that mother has to breast feeding the baby. Base on the above statements, so the researcher has made research about the connection of breast feeding with the uterine involution at Irena D; Prof. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado.
The purpose of this research is to identification if the breast feeding has a connection with the high decreasing of uterine fundus, uterine contraction and lochia expulsion.
The design that has been used for this research is the comparative study. The samples have taken from the postpartum mothers at Irena D. Total of the samples is 30 mothers; consist of 15 mothers with milik and 15 mothers breast feeding.
The collected data have been processed using simple test Kol Mogorov-Smirnov’s Test (chi-square’s test alternative). From the result of Kol Mogorov-Smirnov’s Test, it has been obtained that P = 0,000 to TFU and uterine contraction. It means that there’s a connection between breast feeding with TFU and uterine contraction.
So the conclusion of this research is the postpartum mothers suggested to breast feeding their babies in order to make faster the process of decreasing uterine involution in postpartum time from the 1stday till 7thday.
