Abstract

Every country has a different value currency, changing one foreign currency can affect the value of another currency. Indicators that can cause changes in the value of a currency are inflation, interest rates, and budget deficits. These three indicators can determine the exchange rate for one domestic currency against a foreign currency.
From the results of the above observations, the authors conducted a study of the effect of inflation, interest rates, and budget deficits on foreign exchange rates, especially the exchange rate for the Rupiah against the USD in 2014-2018. The aim is to find out whether there is a significant influence between inflation, interest rates and budget deficits on foreign exchange rates.
The method analysis used by researchers is the Multiple Regression Method, using data obtained from Bank Indonesia and the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics for five years and using the calculation of the average for the average value of change every year.
The results of the research, the Ttable obtained is 6.314 and Tcount of Inflation = 0.965, Interest Rate = 0.980 and Budget Deficit = -0.838. The result of the t test of Inflation, Exchange Rate, and Budget Deficit shows that Ttable is greater than the Tcount value. This means the Inflation, Interest Rate and Budget Deficit variable does not significant influence toward Exchange Rate IDR: USD for period 2014-2018. From the result of F test found that Ftable (19.2) > Fcount (1.172). Then the results show that Inflation, Interest Rate, and Budget Deficit have no significant influence toward Exchange Rate.
