Abstract

Background: Patients Psychiatric disorders especially violent behavior are patients with a high level of supervision because it can be at risk of causing harmful effects on the patient itself and the surrounding environment, thus requiring effective handling of nurses.
Objective: This study aims to identify the relationship between the levels of knowledge of nurses with the implementation of implementation strategy (sp) in patients at risk of violent behavior in RSJ Prof. DR V. L. Ratumbuysang Manado.
Method: a type of quantitative research, using correlation description design to determine whether there is a relationship or not between two variables with purposive sampling technique. The bivariate analysis that will be used is the Spearman rank test with a significance level of 95% (0.5).
Results: Knowledge level of nurses in hospitals. Prof. DR V.L. Ratumbuysang Manado respondents have a reasonable level of knowledge, which is 60 respondents (88.2%). The act of implementing the nurse's implementation strategy, the implementation strategy is right, totaling 58 respondents (85.3%). The results of the study were seen from the significance of <0.05, and the p-value obtained was 0.000. Which means there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses with the implementation of implementation strategy (sp) in patients at risk of violent behavior (RPK) in hospitals. Prof. DR V.L. Ratumbuysang Manado. With the relationship criteria that is strong and unidirectional, meaning that the higher the knowledge, the better the implementation of the implementation strategy.
Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses with the implementation of the implementation strategy (sp) in patients at risk of violent behavior (rpk) in hospitals. Prof. DR V.L. Ratumbuysang Manado.

Keywords: Knowledge, implementation strategy, mental disorder, the risk of violent behavior.
